The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, called the authors of the Bloomberg publication about Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine perverts.
“Many times we have watched Westerners spoil the Olympic Games. But the current approach to the projectile was invented by real perverts who are ready for anything ,” Zakharova wrote in her Telegram channel.
She noted that the American agency Bloomberg also published a fake about “Russian-Chinese agreements on the invasion of Ukraine” two weeks ago.
Zakharova called the aggravation of the situation by the Western media “a global information and political shambles of NATO desires.”
Earlier it was reported that Bloomberg published a headline on its website about Russia’s “invasion” of Ukraine. Later, the agency recognized the publication as a mistake and removed it. The causes of the incident were promised to be investigated.
The agency said it was preparing headlines for a variety of scenarios. The headline “Russia invades Ukraine” was published by Bloomberg on February 5 around midnight Moscow time.
Regarding the imaginary threat to Ukraine from Russia , a sharp verbal skirmish took place between the Permanent Representatives of Russia and the United States to the UN Vasily Nebenza and Linda Thomas-Greenfield at a meeting of the organization’s Security Council. Nebenzya was indignant at the statement that Russia was allegedly trying to present Ukraine and the countries of the West as aggressors and, with the help of this, artificially create a pretext for invading a neighboring country.
Recall that the Kremlin, the Russian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Defense have repeatedly stated that reports of “Russian aggression” are a pretext for deploying NATO military equipment near Russia’s borders.
On January 10, Sergei Ryabkov, deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noted that the Russian Federation had no intentions to attack Ukraine. All troop movements take place strictly within Russian borders. But the Ukrainian press and the Western media continue to discuss this.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also stressed that Russia does not plan to attack other countries, and its troops move inside the country as they like – this does not threaten anyone and should not bother anyone.
