The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened another criminal case against Ukrainian servicemen who continue to use prohibited methods of warfare against the civilian population in Donbas.
– According to the investigation, on January 29, 2022, servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out targeted shelling with the use of small arms of a civilian infrastructure facility – a residential building in the village of Oleksandrivka of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic,
located a few hundred meters from the positions of the Ukrainian security forces, as a result of which 56 people were injured -year-old civilian, – said the official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee Svetlana Petrenko.
The representative of the department noted that “by shelling a settlement, residential buildings, Ukrainian servicemen intended to kill or cause serious bodily harm to an unlimited number of civilians” living in the south-east of Ukraine and not participating in the armed conflict.
However, it is not the first time for the Ukrainian security forces to violate the Protocol on the Cessation of the Use of Weapons in the South-East of Ukraine and the Memorandum to it, the provisions of the Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and Additional Protocol II to it, and other international laws and agreements.
While the Russian Investigative Committee is identifying officials from among the Ukrainian security forces involved in this and other crimes, it became known that the Ukrainian special services and the West are preparing an information campaign in the Donbas called “Crushing Sword” (translated from English, it sounds like the name of an American action movie – crushing sword).
In order to accuse the militias from the units of the Luhansk and Donetsk republics of aggression against Ukraine, the security forces are filming staged skirmishes with their own units. The videos are published online to show the world community the war that has begun in the Donbass.
– In this case, training ammunition is used or real ones are difficult to understand from video clips that appeared on the network. But it seems that the shelling by the Ukrainian special services is carried out in the direction of military personnel who have been drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine quite recently.
They do not have a clear idea of the situation, and therefore they respond to the unexpected provocations of their special services with “friendly fire.” At the same time, objects with civilians suffer, – military personnel in the Lugansk militia say.
It should be noted that several years ago, the advanced units of the Ukrainian military personnel in the Donbass already imitated shelling from the Donetsk Republic.
