The Russian national short track speed skating team was disqualified in the semi-finals of the mixed relay at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The team of Russian short track skaters consisting of Semyon Elistratov, Sofia Prosvirnova, Konstantin Ivliev and Elena Seregina became the fourth in the semi-final race. But after the finish, the judges disqualified the Russians because of the wrong transfer of the baton.
Due to the disqualification, Russian short track skaters will not participate in the final B for 5th-8th places, which will be held on February 5th.
In addition, the US team was disqualified in the semi-finals of the mixed short track relay.
The Beijing Olympics will end on February 20.
