On Thursday, February 3, Vladimir Putin met with representatives of the business association Delovaya Rossiya. Discussed how to make the life of entrepreneurs easier. Here are the highlights of the event:
WITHOUT QUARANTINE
The President was asked if there would be new covid-related restrictions.
– Last night we discussed this topic with the chairman of the government, we parted ways with him quite late, around 2:00 in the morning. The government has no such plans to introduce any additional restrictions. The general conclusion is that even restrictions on contact persons can be lifted in the near future to enable people to continue their work in peace ,” the president reassured.
PAID THE TAX AND DON’T SIT
They complained to the head of the country that now they often start criminal cases against entrepreneurs who owe taxes, but then they paid everything. Things eventually fall apart, but there are many troubles for business.
– I agree. Thought it was common sense. If the debt is repaid, then what is the point of starting a case, creating problems at work? It is beneficial for the budget – to stimulate the debtor to pay off the debt – the president supported the proposal not to start cases against those who closed tax debts.
– Regarding the encouragement of good taxpayers… Paying taxes is a constitutional obligation. To encourage a person to behave law-abidingly – I don’t know how justified this is. Do not kill, do not steal from us … Encourage for everything? You just need to live within the law,” Putin replied.
DISPOSAL PROGRAM
The president was reminded that the old car recycling program did a good job of spurring the economy and filling the budget. For every ruble invested, the state received one and a half. Delovaya Rossiya asked the president for a similar new program, and members of the government who were present via video link supported the idea.
– Andrey Removich (Belousov, Deputy Prime Minister – Ed.), please give an instruction to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and then report on the proposals that you have prepared, – the head of the country instructed.
