No Time To Die, starring Daniel Craig and Anna de Armas, was released in 2021, although it was filmed much earlier. Due to the pandemic, the high-profile premiere was postponed several times, so more than three years have already passed since the start of filming. All this time, the actors and actresses who auditioned for roles in this film remained silent – applicants for filming in Bond signed a special non-disclosure agreement. Among them was the Russian actress Lyubov Tolkalina. It turns out that our compatriot auditioned for the role of a Bond girl.
Since the statute of limitations under the contract has already passed, Lyubov told how the tests went. The actress knows English well, and she was invited to the casting. Tolkalina specially flew to London to appear to the creators of the picture No Time To Die.
– I auditioned for the role of a Bond girl in No Time to Die…. Then many people tried for this role, but no one could tell anyone about it. We signed a book-thick document with a special “007” logo. They signed a non-disclosure agreement on every page, for three years it was impossible to even talk about the fact that I was there. Then she flew specially to London, prepared. They sampled a scene from Casino Royale where Eva Green and Daniel Craig talk about money. A very difficult text was both for memorization and for implementation. For me, when I work in English, the main thing is to pronounce No Time To Die, – Tolkalina said in an interview with Hello.
As a result of the test, Love did not pass. But she gained unexpected popularity with the British border guards. When they found out that she auditioned for the role of a James Bond girl, almost the entire airport gathered to see the actress.
– There is a curious story connected with this. I recently flew to London. Now it is quite difficult to get there. Not only do you need to fill out a huge form that can take four hours of your life, but you also need to correctly answer the border guards at the airport. When they started asking me questions, I said that I was in London for work, we were writing a play for my theater. When he asked where I was filming, I said that he hardly saw me in the movies, but I auditioned for a Bond girl. After that, the work of the border guards stopped, they all came to look at me, they were terribly happy! They almost carried me across the border in their arms, it was very touching! Love confessed.
