The defense departments of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics continue to record data indicating that Ukrainian armed formations are preparing for offensive operations. However, many units of the Ukrainian army are not ready for war.
The official representative of the People’s Militia Department of the Luhansk People’s Republic, Ivan Filiponenko , said that most of the officers of the armed formations of Ukraine ( subdivisions of the Sever operational-tactical group ) do not believe in the success of the offensive and sabotage preparations for it.
“According to our undercover intelligence, up to 70 percent of the officers of the armed formations of Ukraine do not believe in the success of the offensive , in connection with which we note the facts of sabotage of combat training events in a number of formations,” he said.
Filiponenko noted that, despite the requirements of the headquarters of the OTG “Sever” to conduct daily training sessions with personnel on offensive topics, the command of the 30th separate mechanized brigade performs them formally, presenting only a photo report.
It also became known that in the 24th brigade of the Ukrainian army, fuels and lubricants intended for preparation for hostilities were stolen.
– In the course of the work of the rear services commission of the Sever OTG headquarters in the 24th brigade, it was established that more than half of the equipment required refueling. At the same time, in a combat report for January 28, it is reported that tank refueling of standard equipment was 100 percent done in a week, Filiponenko said.
And in the event of intensification of fighting in the Donbass, up to 25 percent of the soldiers of the armed formations of Ukraine will leave the front line. These data were published in the People’s Militia Department of the Donetsk People’s Republic, referring to Ukrainian psychologists.
“According to psychologists, at least 15-25 percent of Ukrainian servicemen openly declare their intention to leave the conflict zone in the event of an aggravation of the situation, due to their unwillingness to risk their lives for the personal interests of the country’s ruling elite,” the report says.
The defense ministry noted that many Ukrainian soldiers remain in the army because of their salaries and are not ready to take part in the battles.
“The OOS command is deeply concerned that the low level of moral and psychological stability of Ukrainian military personnel will not allow subordinate units to carry out combat missions as intended if they receive relevant instructions from Kiev,” the People’s Militia stressed.
It is also reported that NLAW anti-tank missile systems were delivered to the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but the command refuses to register them.
“According to our intelligence, the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has received British NLAW anti-tank missile systems,” says Filiponenko. – At the same time, the brigade command refuses to take into account the complexes in the prescribed manner due to the lack of trained specialists for their use.
Earlier it was reported that in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska, the armed formations of Ukraine were conducting reconnaissance and preparing provocations .
Meanwhile, Ukrainian armed formations continue to shell the Republic of Donbass. Residential areas regularly come under fire. So, as a result of sniper fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 29, a civilian resident of the village of Aleksandrovka, in the suburbs of Donetsk , was injured .
