The official account of the Spanish La Liga on Instagram published a video in which the head coach of Barcelona Xavi gives an interview after the match with Granada (1:1) in Russian.
Javi speaks, of course, in his native language, and the Russian in this video is an overlay soundtrack from a viral video on the Internet in Russia. In the original video, Shamil Magomedov from the Dagestan amateur club MZHS Kizlyar gives an interview in which he is indignant at the number of missed chances in the match with the local Punjab club (4:4). This video gained such popularity thanks to Magomedov’s manner of speech – he inserted the jargon “live is” in every sentence.
“Barcelona” in the match with “Granada” also did not realize a lot of chances, because of which they only played a draw. Therefore, the La Liga media service, whose matches are broadcast on the Okko platform, decided to attract a Russian-speaking audience with a video in which Xavi speaks Russian. By the way, the subscribers of the La Liga account on Instagram were delighted. The overwhelming majority of comments, of which there are more than 1300, are written in Russian. And the video itself gained almost 320 thousand views in 12 hours.
Note that this is not the first publication of La Liga on Instagram in Russian. Earlier, the media service of the Spanish championship published a collage with photographs of Dani Alves, Joaquin Sanchez and Jorge Molina, signing: “You are awesome, but one Moscow Region club is interested in these guys.”
And in January, the official account of La Liga mentioned the striker of the Russian national team and Dynamo Moscow Fedor Smolov, makinga reference to the video of a football player from the office of the capital club. La Liga wrote: “Fedor, is it true that you once scored against Real Madrid and Barca?” To which Fedor, as in this video, replied: “No, not true.”
